Traditionally, faxes are sent and received through a physical fax machine, which may be incorporated with your printer/copier. Petdesk phones provides users with three flexible options: utilizing all digital communication, sticking to the traditional fax machine, or seamlessly combining both.
What is eFaxing?
eFax is a modern, digital solution designed to streamline faxing processes while reducing paper consumption. By replacing the need for a physical fax machine with an online fax portal, eFax offers enhanced accessibility to faxes from anywhere with an internet connection.
Through the eFax portal, you'll be able to view and download sent and received faxes. You'll also have the option to set up fax-to-email which will send a copy of incoming faxes to up to three (3) email addresses. These same email addresses would also receive fax confirmations when a fax is sent.
Using a Fax Machine
Traditional faxing refers to the conventional method of fax communication using a fax machine, telephone line, and physical paper. For those who prefer a hybrid approach, Petdesk Phones's hybrid faxing combines the benefits of eFax and traditional faxing, where all incoming faxes are received virtually and all outgoing faxes can be sent using either a traditional fax machine or through the online fax portal.
Please note that integrating a fax machine with Petdesk Phone's VOIP system requires a Fax adapter and a dedicated extension, which may lead to additional charges. This device converts SIP lines to POTS (plain old telephone service), facilitating smooth communication between digital and traditional systems.
